February – June 2015

Since February, we have been working alongside some Leeds Time to Change Ambassadors, with Year 3 Design students from Leeds Beckett University to create some new campaign tools and resources. The main aim of this was to create something which we could bring to councillors in Leeds in order to encourage them to increase the amount of funding they allocate to young people’s mental health within the city. The project is still underway but there are some very promising signs of an animation and a giant maze. Watch this space!

Throughout 2015, many of us have been attending the Digital Innovation Labs; a CAMHs-led project run by mHealthHabitat. These workshops are being used to develop new apps centered around mental health, some for those with existing mental illnesses and others to aid the general population in the day to day management of their mental health.

10th October 2014

10th October marked the National World Mental Health Day. In Leeds, Emma took part in the event that Time to Change had organised in Leeds Civic Hall, networking with all sorts of different organisations and meeting lots of different people. Over in York, Naomi ran a World Mental Health Day event at her university, engaging well over 1000 students.
